We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, August 4th, at Sacred Heart Parish Grand Rapids, as we kick-off another exciting year of Authenticum Lectures. Dr. Jeff Polet Professor of Political Science at Hope College in Holland, MI will present the lecture which is titled: “If St. Augustine were a 20th Century Author." This event will take place in the courtyard between the church and the academy.
Authenticum Lectures are held at Sacred Heart Parish in Grand Rapids, MI on the first Thursdays of the month beginning August 4th.
Catecheical Foundatons will provide a limited amount of craft beer to drink, as well as hot dogs and chips. You are most welcome to bring your own favorite summer drinks, as well as your own personal meats to grill. We'll have grills available, and grill masters on hand to grill for you. Everyone is encouraged to bring a side dish to pass.
Fellowship, food, live music begins at 5:30 p.m. Lecture will begin at 7:00 p.m. outdoor weather permitting. Should inclement weather prevail the event will be held in the church hall as usual. This is an event you won't want to miss out on. As always there will be copies of past Authenticum lectures available or you can access them online from www.catoundations.wordpress.com.
