National Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children

On Monday, Jan. 23rd:
Bishop Paul Bradley will celebrate the daily 12:10 p.m. Mass at St. Augustine Cathedral (Kalamazoo) in observance of the National Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children. Participants are invited to bring a donation of diapers or baby wipes to support the ministry of Caring Network.
Bishop David Walkowiak will celebrate Mass at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew (Grand Rapids). Those who are making the pilgrimage to the March for Life in Washington, D.C. during that week are especially invited to attend this Mass.
In all the dioceses of the U.S., Jan. 23 is observed as a particular day of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion. It is also a day of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life.
