As a non-profit organization, Holy Family Radio relies on the support of volunteers. We are already blessed to have generous time commitments from a core group of volunteers who assist us in a number of ways. As this lay apostolate grows, so does our need for more volunteers. We value the professional expertise and talents that you can bring to us – and we encourage you to consider ways that you can volunteer your time and talents to help Holy Family Radio.
Our current needs:
Administrative Assistant:
With Catholic Radio fast expanding in West Michigan, Holy Family Radio needs a volunteer Administrative Assistant who could be available to work approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. This position has the potential to become a salaried position in the future. An Associate’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent work experience and basic computer knowledge is preferred. Responsibility Summary - Reception and general clerical support that promotes the mission of Holy Family Radio. Must maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information and files.
Tasks include –
Answering phone, greeting visitors, addressing information inquiries
Computer processing of donations, through fundraising and accounting software
Underwriter invoicing
Preparing and making bank deposits
Maintaining “public file” per FCC rules
Constant communication with parish secretaries and our parish reps
Providing office support as necessary, including larger projects
Coordinator of Volunteers:
With growing volunteer activity, Holy Family Radio needs a Coordinator of Volunteers to oversee that activity. We are looking for someone willing to volunteer their time working mostly from home to contact, schedule and coordinate volunteers as needed. The primary focus of this position will be on preparing for and overseeing volunteer involvement and committees for larger projects like the Spring and Fall on-air pledge drives.
