Bishop Baraga Family Pilgrimage | June 27-29 Catholic families with teens from all seven dioceses in the state of Michigan are invited
to make a pilgrimage to St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette where Venerable Bishop Fredric Baraga is entombed. Bishop Baraga’s
cause for canonization is in the first stage toward sainthood. This pilgrimage will follow many of the routes Venerable Bishop Baraga
travelled. Families traveling from the Diocese of Grand Rapids are invited to begin the pilgrimage Friday morning, June 27, at the
Cathedral of Saint Andrew for a blessing and sending forth reception. On Sunday June 29 at 10 a.m., pilgrims will gather just outside
of Marquette and walk the North Country Trail as a “Baraga Pilgrimage Walk” to the Cathedral to celebrate Mass with Bishop John F.
Doerfler. For additional details contact Mark Mann at (616) 475-1243 or email
