Dedication of Laudato Si’ Sanctuary
11650 Downes St NE
The Laudato Si’ Sanctuary is a restored prairie on the Lowell Campus. In the summer it will be alive with many native species of prairie wildflowers in bloom. The prairie, which was started two years ago by Joseph Trenshaw as an Eagle Scout project, will be named and dedicated on July 27 at 4:00 pm. The Franciscan Sisters are dedicating the Sanctuary to Sister Mary Ann Schmitz, FSE, in gratitude for her oversight of the project and her many years of dedication to the land. The public is welcome to attend.
