The role of the Church in an election year is to encourage people to vote. It is not the Church's role to tell citizens for whom they should vote. Father John Geaney will lead discussions on how the Church looks at Church state relations. He will also examine the role conscience plays in determining how a Catholic Christian goes about deciding how to vote when a politician's stand on an issue is contrary to the moral imperatives of the Catholic Church. Second Class is September 20. Call 616-459-7267 to register.
