Category: General How to Address Difficult Moral Issues that Face Catholics Today

Tue, 8/18

In order to support adults and the questions or attitudes you no doubt have surrounding you, we are offering an evening of learning to assist you in understanding and voicing what you hold in your heart as Catholics. Father Sean Kilcawley, a priest from Lincoln Nebraska, has given himself to speaking clearly and simply on the teachings of our Church during the day at the Diocese and we have excitedly asked him to come here to Holy Family for the evening! You will appreciate the wisdom of our Church and be staunch in her support, and loving in addressing difficult moral issues that face us today. Fr. Sean will touch on topics like pornography, same-sex marriage, gender identity, protecting kids online, sex education, the family and marriage.
The basis will be in Theology of the Body and the teachings of the Church.  This will help us understand the dignity of the human person and the purpose for which God created each of us. With this foundation, we can come to understand more completely why the Church holds tightly to her teachings on marriage, co-habitation before marriage, contraception and pornography.
