For 33 years, Life Chains have formed across the United States and Canada—and the world—to make a public, prayerful, peaceful witness against legalized abortion. We stand united in prayer and repentance and pray to God to end abortion.Life Chains are built upon the promise that God gave to His people in 2 Chronicles 7. God said to Solomon in verses 14-15, “[if] my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. My eyes will now be open and my ears attentive to prayer from this place.”
The event is normally held in October but was postponed in 2020 because of covid-19.
In October 2019, 26 churches participated and were lined up along S Westnedge in Kalamazoo and Portage.

Spring into Life is an evening of educating, motivating, and involving pro-life people in the local movement.Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour, a delicious dinner, an update from Grand Rapids Right to Life, and the opportunity to hear local author, Mary Jo Thayer, launch her first novel, Close to the Soul.
Thayer is a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers and the Catholic Writers’ Guild and has contributed to several books and periodicals. She has been the keynote speaker for women’s retreats, Legatus chapters, Theology of the Body conferences, and Fortnight for Freedom rallies.
Spring into Life will include an opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Thayer's book.
Seating is limited. Tickets are $25 each and must be purchased by May 10.
