Grand Rapids Right to Life: Memorial Service for the Unborn (ecumenical event)
View MapJanuary 22, 2018, marks the 45th anniversary of legalized abortion-on-demand in the United States. To honor and mourn the almost 58,000,000 lives lost to abortion since 1973, Grand Rapids Right to Life is sponsoring the annual Memorial Service for the Unborn.
The keynote speaker is Mary Verwys, veteran sidewalk counselor and founder of Garden of Hope, a ministry that offers encouragement and support to women who are considering an abortion or who have already had an abortion.
Special music will be provided by Mary Harkema, who works with choirs from Our Lady of Consolation Parish in Rockford.
The memorial service is a time of prayer and remembrance. Diapers and baby wipes will be collected for donation to local crisis pregnancy centers.
