Levi Romero is the author of the poetry collections, A Poetry of Remembrance: New and Rejected Works and In the Gathering of Silence; co-author (with Spencer Herrera and Robert Kaiser) of Sagrado: A Photopoetics Across the Chicano Homeland; and co-director of the films del agua and Going Home Homeless. In 2012, Romero was awarded the post of New Mexico Centennial Poet. He is Assistant Professor in the Chicana and Chicano Studies department at the University of New Mexico.
