A coalition of Catholic senior care providers is offering a free virtual panel discussion on "Why and When to Put an Advanced Care Plan in Place: from 1 to 2:30pm, Tuesday, April 20.
The Senior Care Coalition, formed in 2019 to provide resources for the aging population and their families, timed the session to coinside with "National Health Care Decision-making Day." which falls on April 16.
Panelists include: Dr. Michael Paletta, chief medical officer at Hospice of Michigan, Catherin Jacobs, senior counsel, Warner, Norcross & Judd; and Bridget Graham, MSN, RN, nurse clinical leader, Mercy Health St. Mary's.
Participant will learn about advanced care planning and how to put a plan in place. According to the Conversation Project National Survey (2018), while 92% of Americans say it's important to discuss their wishes for end-of-life care, only 32% have had such a conversation.
The presentation will be broadcast via Zoom.
