Our goal for the Cherish Marriage Event is to provide an inspirational evening for Catholic couples which focuses on strengthening and enriching their Sacramental marriage. With Dinner, Dancing and Fellowship, our featured speakers are Mark and Katie Hartfiel. Mark is the Vice President of Paradisus Dei, providing enriching programs like That Man is You and The Choice Wine. THE PRESENCE is a response to the challenge of Pope John Paul II to “become shining heralds of the re-evangelization and generous architects of the civilization of love.” The focus on the Eucharist shows young people that Christ must be at the center of their lives. The format of the retreat, which includes the Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, prayer, talks, music, and fellowship, provides a means to help young people develop a deep and lasting personal relationship with Jesus Christ, especially in the Eucharist, “the source and summit of Christian life” (Lumen Gentium 11). Young people gain a solid foundation upon which to build their lives.

3 Pillars of Lent [St. Augustin Cathedral, Kalamazoo]

The three Pillars of Lent are - Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving. Come join us on Saturday, March 2, 2024 for our Lenten Day of Reflection and you will have an opportunity to participate in all three of these holy practices at St. Augustin Cathedral in Kalamazoo.
We will:
Pray- at Holy Mass and Adoration, the Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet and venerate a relic of the Holy Face.
Fast- from the normal Saturday schedule and spend the day with our Catholic Sisters to center on Jesus and the Eucharist.
Almsgiving - Giving opportunities abound by donating to our Cameroon Fund for Educating Children, the Apostolate of the Holy Face or other Catholic ministries- too many to mention.
