Walking with Grief
St. Patrick-St. Anthony Parish Family Center, 920 Fulton Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417

“Whether a person is grieving a death, the loss of a special relationship, their last child leaving for college, a best friend moving across country or the loss of job or home realizes that life has changed permanently. Some of these losses―such as a death―allows us to be comforted, if only at the funeral or memorial while others are not losses we would necessarily talk about and support may be hard to find. These presentations are being offered to help people cope,” said Nancy Megley, RN, parish nurse with St. Patrick-St. Anthony Parish.
Those who attend will learn how to understand the nature of grief. Individuals will be invited to participate in interactive discussions to engage with their personal grief in a healthy and healing manner. Participants will develop skills to help draw on the power of their faith to do so in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
