Additional Event Details:
Jack Mulder, author of "What Does it Mean to Be Catholic?" (Eerdmans, 2015), is department chair and professor of philosophy at Hope College. He is also the assistant director of the Saint Benedict Institute, a Catholic organization serving Hope College. He will be speaking on “A Case for the Immaculate Conception of Mary.” In 1854 Pope Pius IX declared the immaculate conception of Mary as dogma which taught that Mary was born without sin. Dr. Mulder will present a case for why he believes more Christians ought to believe in this important and controversial doctrine.
