If you’re wondering how you will get through the holidays while your heart is aching with the loss of a loved one, join St. Thomas More Catholic Student Parish, 421 Monroe St., Kalamazoo on Friday, November 22 at 6:30 pm. The holidays can present challenges to those who are grieving. Participation in this workshop will give you the opportunity to: Learn about the grieving process as it relates to the holidays; Discuss your traditions in a small group setting; Make a commemorative ornament; Participate in a memorial candle lighting ceremony. Layla Jabboori MA LLP , who specializes in grief and loss issues, will teach some strategies for surviving, for making choices that respect you and your needs as you struggle with your loss. Layla brings 19 years of experience as a Grief Support Counselor with Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. Bring a friend or another family member. who might also benefit from the evening.
