To all Catholic Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, American Heritage Girls and Venturers:
The Grand Rapids Catholic Committee on Scouting will be holding its Annual Catholic Scouting Retreat at the Franciscan Life Process Center July 31 to Aug 2.
“Keep Calm and Pray On” is our theme when you join the weekend for fun, prayer, rosary making, service, team building, and (did we say?) FUN!
Boy Scouts and Venturers wishing to work on their Ad Altare Dei Religious emblem will be able to fulfill several requirements towards that emblem over the weekend as well as have a lot of fun!Girl Scouts can attend the retreat with the Boy Scouts, camp out and meet new friends and participate in many fun projects including a service project.Adults attending the Saturday Adult retreat can fulfill their training requirement to become a Religious Emblem Counselor with the BSA. (Virtus Training must be accomplished outside of this training session) Current Religious Emblem Counselors can also attend a workshop to share creative techniques that have been used with teaching the emblem programs. All meals will be provided and served in the dining room.
For those staying the weekend, the program will start at 7:00 pm once everyone has arrived and pitched their tents. Contact the Grand Rapids Catholic Committee on Scouting for forms, a list of what to bring and other details.
