PUBLIC INVITED TO “LET ME SOW HOPE” DOCUMENTARY FILM AND DISCUSSION APRIL 28 AT HOLY REDEEMER PARISH, JENISON, MICH.

JENISON, MICH. — In the poorest areas of the world, significant improvements in the lives of families, communities and nations occur when women are empowered to solve their own health, education, and economic challenges. On April 28, 7:00-8:30 p.m., the Social Justice & Outreach Commission of Holy Redeemer Parish, 2700 Baldwin St., Jenison, will present the film documentary “Let Me Sow Hope,” followed by a discussion of how to effectively bring about positive outcomes for women living in extreme poverty around the world. The public is invited and is asked to RSVP by April 25 online to www.holyredeemerparish.org or call 616-669-9220.

The film is based on the highly successful work of Grand Rapids, Mich.-based nonprofit SowHope which works with women at the grassroots level to bring about lasting solutions. Since its founding in 2006, it has directly impacted the lives of more that 61,000 women globally. SowHope co-founder Mary Dailey Brown will lead the discussion after the film.

“SowHope is one of a very few global organizations that works exclusively with women to bring about critical socio-economic changes,” said event organizer Maria Tillotson. “This inspiring documentary shows what can be done not only internationally, but right here in our communities, when you take charity beyond handouts and give poor women a voice.”

SowHope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, international charitable organization that focuses exclusively on the holistic needs of women living in extreme poverty. For more information, visit sowhope.org.
