For the followers of Christ, Advent is a season of preparation for the arrival of holy peace, perfect love, and true compassion to light up our hearts with spiritual joy. Sacred icons are images of those whose hearts were on fire with this joy. These images reflect God’s love. During this retreat, participants will "write" the icon: Mary, Bearer of Light. Reflection, prayer, and contemplative creativity will guide participants. Beginner and experienced artists welcome. No previous painting experience required. Paint, brushes, and supplies are included.
