Fortnight For Freedom
–
Wed, 6/26
The USCCB has again asked that we observe a "Fortnight for Freedom" this summer, beginning on June 21 (the eve of the feast of Ss. John Fisher and Thomas More) and ending on July 4. These two weeks are to be a period of prayer, education, and action to address the "many current challenges to religious liberty, including the August 1 deadline for religious organizations to comply with the HHS mandate." St. Isidore Parish will again be gathering in church for Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction every evening at 7pm, with presentations and refreshments following in the Hospitality Room.
Presentation Highlights:
Fr. Robert Sirico (Acton Institute) - "Religious and Economic Liberty: Twin Guarantees of Human Freedom"
John Horvatt II - "Return to Order"
Sr. Colleen Anne Nagle, FSE - "Marriage, Humanae Vitae, and the Culture of Life"
Dr. John Pinheiro (Aquinas College) - "The Dawn of the First Amendment"
Mary Jo Thayer - "Catholics Should Look Different"
Thursday, July 4th- Closing Mass at 7pm.
