Fr. Kartje is the Rector/President of Mundelein Seminary and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biblical Studies and Homiletics. He has a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of Chicago, an M.Div./S.T.B. from the University of St. Mary of the Lake, and an S.T.L./S.T.D. in Biblical Theology from the Catholic University of America. He was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago in 2002, and has experience as a parish priest. He is the author of Wisdom Epistemology in the Psalter: A Study of Psalms 1, 73, 90, and 107, a member of the Catholic Biblical Association, and a contributor to Chicago Studies.)
