(The 28th annual High School Oratory Contest, sponsored by Grand Rapids Right to Life, is a great way for high school students to practice their public speaking skills. Each contestant must prepare a 5-7 minute speech on one of these prolife issues: abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, human cloning, or embryonic stem cell research.
The top three finalists will earn cash prizes:
$150 – 1st place
$100 – 2nd place
$ 50 – 3rd place
The first place winner will also compete at the State High School Oratory Contest where first, second, and third place prizes are $500, $300, and $200.
